Disclosure and Privacy Notice
Individuals filing applications, appeals, complaints or references under the Labour Relations Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act or the Employment Standards Code are identified by name at various stages of the Board’s processes including in its decisions, on its website, and in print and online reporting services that publish Board decisions. An exception to this general practice may be made, at the discretion of the Board, if sensitive personal information will be disclosed. Individuals wishing to protect their identity may request anonymity from the Board by letter setting out the reasons for the request—including what sensitive personal information will be disclosed.
All personal information provided to the Board is collected under section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (“POPA”) to process applications or filings under the Labour Relations Code or other Alberta legislation. The collection and use of this information is managed pursuant to POPA. Disclosure of this information is managed pursuant to POPA and the Access to Information Act (“ATIA”).
